ABOUT ME
I was part of the "Oklahoma Horizon" television show at its inception and for eleven and a half years. The show was my first job as a TV producer.

I would always say "Sometimes I can hardly believe I actually get paid to do the work. There is so much good in Oklahoma and we get to tell everyone about it.”
​
I grew up on a small farm in Oklahoma and learned early the values of hard work. I will never forget hauling hay with my family each summer and chasing show pigs around the farm for exercise. I used my experiences of life on the farm to cover agriculture stories for "Oklahoma Horizon."
​
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on archeological digs, throwing pottery, and reading.

I've taken my skills and always brought them with me in each new position expanding them every time. When the show started, my universe expanded exponentially. I've helped create a new student organization and I was instrumental in getting our social media rules set up and in place at our state agency.
WHAT I'VE DONE
I tell peoples' stories. While with "Oklahoma Horizon," I loved going across the state and meeting the interesting people of Oklahoma. There is so much out there that people don't know about. Some still think Oklahoma is this dust bowl state but it's not. I was able to show how we have used conservation and made it a better place to live. There is wind power here, solar power here, natural gas, and oil. My favorite thing to do was to find those quirky, fun stories and go shoot them and then introduce the world to my state and the people in it.

Currently, I tell the story about Central Tech, it's students, and the CareerTech system we are a part of.
